Five Medals for Swansea University Athletes at the Welsh Senior Indoor Championships

This weekend some of our athletes competed in Cardiff at the Welsh Senior Indoor Championships, coming home with some stellar performances and new personal bests showing that Swansea is good form going into the BUCS Championship season.

Five Swansea University field athletes brought home medals including triple jumper Tom Atkinson who is this year's Welsh Indoor Champion. Adrian Sum also gave a fantastic performance in the triple jump winning the overall competition becoming this year's triple jump open champion.

In the Pole Vault, Ieuan Hosgood and Fynley Caudrey went head to head with Ieuan just jumping higher than Fynley to set a new personal best of 4.46m and take home a silver medal with Fynley taking the bronze. Lauryn Davey gave a strong performance in the High Jump with a season's best of 1.60m to win bronze.
