Swansea University Athletics & Cross Country Club is one of the largest sports in Swansea University. The club currently has over 80 members. Five of which currently have Welsh, English, Scottish or GB vests.

The club currently attend a variety of competitions throughout the year including track events such as South West Varsity, which includes major sports teams such as Exeter and Cardiff, and both indoor and outdoor BUCS Championships, where we compete against every top sporting University in the country.

We also attend a range of cross country league and championship matches, competing against runners at all levels. In addition, we will be hosting two open competitions and a championship next year which will see us interacting with even more athletics clubs, athletes, coaches and parents both at University level and beyond.

This offers an array of marketing and promotional opportunities, giving you the perfect chance to get on-board and support a highly popular sports team in one of the most renowned sporting institutions in the UK.

We compete as a club in the annual Welsh Varsity Match presenting you with the opportunity to be displayed at the Welsh Varsity, the biggest event of its kind where the top Welsh universities and 15,000 students come together to compete, this is second in the UK, just behind the Cambridge and Oxford Varsity Match.

We are offering a variety of sponsorship packages that suit all budgets and provide you with not only value for money but also the opportunity to become synonymous with a growing Welsh university and the promotion of local athletes from beginners to a professional sporting level.

Charity Fundraising, Events & Socials

One of the club's focus is to give back to the local community which is why we aim to host three charity events a year raising money for local charities in Swansea.

Our new social secretaries Nancy and Rhys have loads of great social and event ideas and are eager to get started.

Come back here in October to find out about our next charity fundraiser and any upcoming events.

Alumni

We have many high profile alumni including GB athletes such as Dewi Grffiths and Verity Ockenden and the Chief Executive of Welsh Athletics, Matt Newman. Some of our alumni still train and help coach the club today.

We love supporting and watching our alumni athletes go on to succeed in their athletics careers, work and life which is why we always aim to maintain close links with our club alumni after they graduate.

Come back here at the start of term to find about all the fun and exciting events involving our club member and and our alumni.
